Coronavirus Covid-19 Update: Talks & Classes Suspended, Temples & Bookshops Closed

  • The health and safety of our devotees, visitors, and monastics is of the highest priority. We ask that you do all you can to maintain a safe environment at the Vedanta Society. Be well and stay healthy.
  • A Sunday talk, as well as daily evening arati, and scheduled classes, will be streamed live from our Hollywood Temple via our YouTube channel for those who wish to attend remotely.
  • In accordance with directives issued by state and local governments, all Sunday services and weekday classes at the different branches of the Vedanta Society will be suspended at least through the end of March, 2020. All our temples, monasteries, and other facilities are closed to the public.
  • The bookshops in Hollywood, Santa Barbara, and Trabuco are closed. Please visit vedanta.com to purchase Vedanta books and gifts.
  • We ask that you stay home and avoid close contact with others if you or a member of your household are feeling sick or unwell. Please attend remotely.
  • We ask that all visitors observe “Social Distancing” as outlined in the directive, maintaining a distance of six feet from other visitors.
  • We ask that all visitors to our centers observe the protocols of frequent handwashing, coughing and sneezing into a tissue, not touching ones eyes, nose, & mouth with unwashed hands, and greeting others with “namaste” rather than shaking hands. Promptly throw any tissues into the trash after using them.
  • We will regularly disinfect temple doorknobs, light switches, etc.
  • Communal meals and refreshments will not be served.
  • We will keep you informed of any changes.
